Copycat Chick-Fil-A Chocolate Chip Cookies
After a long day, nothing is better than a chewy, chocolate-y cookie! I love the cookies from Chick-Fil-A – when we make a trip there, I figure, hey the kids get an ice cream cone, I’m going to get a treat too!
But I have a favorite recipe you can make at home that comes pretty close to the real thing! Anyone hungry yet? I feel I need to go make me a batch . . . 😀
Copycat-Chick-Fil-A Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/8 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. I love using parchment paper to line my cookie sheets – cut sheets of parchment paper to fit your cookie sheets. If you don’t have parchment paper, you can simply grease the cookie sheets.
2. Mix together butter and the two sugars until smooth. I like to warm the butter in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it (but don’t melt it too much or your cookies may spread and flatten out in the oven!), then add the sugars and mix.
3. Mix in the egg and vanilla.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix together well and combine with the wet ingredients.
5. Stir in the oatmeal and chocolate chips.
6. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto your cookie sheets. If you want the bigger Chick-Fil-A-like cookie, make your spoonfuls bigger!
7. Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Now I really want some cookies!!! 😀
Enjoy!!!
